Hosted by partner churches, The Way and Wentzville United Methodist Church, campers should get ready for action-packed Ignite Mobile Camp that brings the fun of camp to you. Get ready for five full days of exciting activities, adventures and learning about God at your local Wentzville United Methodist church. Highly trained NextGen college-age staff does life-on-life ministry with every camper. Campers have the option to choose from one of three incredible activity options: technology, athletics, and creativity. With the opportunity to either develop an area in which they are already gifted or stretch themselves to learn new things, campers can continue to grow into who God envisioned them to be!

Technology: Love video games?  Tech is the right option for you!  Campers will either have the opportunity to either build and program their own computer or create and design their own video game from scratch.

Athletics: If running around, being competitive, and playing a variety of sports is your thing, choose Athletic.  Our counselors will spend time leading campers in games like Football, Soccer, Kickball, and more!

Creative: Would you rather spend time creating and designing your own unique projects?  Choose creative!  Our well trained counselors will assist you in creating a variety of art and writing projects during the week  with the opportunity to share those gifts with your family and fellow campers on the final day of camp.

Camping Logistics

“What a looooong day!” Josh exclaimed as he slumped exhaustedly into his chair after a particularly hot Missouri summer day. His wife, Kara, sat across from him in the living room with their newborn child bouncing happily upon her lap, looking back at her husband in bemusement.

“What was bad about today?” she replied as the right corner of her mouth turned up in a faint smirk. After being married for just over seven years, she knew to ask the question, even though she thought she already knew the answer.

Josh glanced back up at Kara and their son, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. Had his sarcasm become so transparent to her after their many years together?

“Well I played a lot of gaga ball today, talked to some pastors and church members, ate chicken nuggets, and took a lot of pictures,” he said smiling the entire time.

“Uh-huh…. And you get paid to do this?”

“How dare you insinuate that I all I do is just play around?” Josh replied sardonically. “Honey, it’s like Brett Favre used to say: ‘They pay me for the months and months of preparation I put in. I’d almost play the ‘game’ for free.’”

Eagle Lake really hit the ball out of the park with this camp. The counselors (and their constant energy) were fabulous, and all the fun activities such as the water slides, bungee trampoline jump, games, etc. had them begging to come back.

- A Parent from Eureka UMC

The two campers I sent were my grandchildren who have been taught nothing about Jesus in their home. They come from a fairly tough home life. They were loved and cared for while they were at Eagle Lake. The kids had some pretty tough issues that the counselors dealt with in an amazing way. By the end of the week the kids were saying the name of Jesus and knew the scriptures. A seed has been planted. Thank you so much!
